Nasser Kazeminy - Chairman and Founder of NJK Holding Corporation
_Nasser Kazeminy began his career at Honeywell International, Inc., designing a worldwide management information and logistics system. Control Data Corporation recruited Mr. Kazeminy to perform a similar task in 1969, prompting his relocation to the United States. Mr. Kazeminy served in a number of executive roles in several of the company’s divisions, including the Education Group, Peripherals Group, and Field Logistics Services. While working for Control Data Corporation, Mr. Kazeminy identified a new service opportunity in tax-leveraged and low-cost leases on peripheral products.
Recognizing the potential of the peripheral market, Nasser Kazeminy left Control Data Corporation to launch his own leasing company, Minneapolis Leasing Corporation. Under the leadership of Mr. Kazeminy, the business grew into the industry’s largest privately held organization in the United States.
In 1980, Mr. Kazeminy created investment company NJK Holding Corporation and since then has founded or acquired a number of privately held businesses. His leadership skills have resulted in the creation of 20,000 jobs within NJK and other businesses he owns, as well as another 200,000 at external firms. Over the years, Nasser Kazeminy has either held a substantial interest in or maintained oversight for many organizations, among them XP Systems Corporation (now part of Fiserv, Inc.), Digital Insight Corporation (now part of Intuit, Inc.), Panache, Creative Publishing International (now part of the Quarto Group), Minneapolis Leasing Corporation, and Quorum Group, Inc. Among the companies in which Mr. Kazeminy maintains a minority interest are Cross Match Technologies, Inc., and Averion International Corp.
In 2010, Nasser Kazeminy became affiliated with the Nowruz Commission as its first Chairman of the Board of Directors. For his leadership contributions, the United States Congress awarded him with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition. Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) has also recognized his philanthropic efforts with the Albert Schweitzer Leadership Award.
